Megan Pinckney is a freelance writer and blogger (shadesofpinck.com). The former beauty queen enjoys supporting the ballet, exploring new places, creating cocktails and tablescapes, and experimenting with beauty and fashion trends!

Question 1: So when’s the first time you fell in love with FASHION?
MP: I literally remember the moment I fell in love with fashion. It was in a CVS in North Charleston back in April of 2004 when I bought my first Vogue magazine ever. Gwen Stefani was on the cover in a black and white striped dress and I just remember thinking, “this is glamour”!

Question 2 : Do you have a signature STYLE?
MP: I’d like to think that my style falls somewhere in between the ruggedness of New York and the elegance of Paris, and within a Jonathan Green-influenced color palette!

Question 3: Who is your favorite DESIGNER?
MP: My favorite designer of all time would be Coco Chanel. She created classics because she understood a woman’s desire as well as her need. But my favorite designer of my lifetime is Diane von Furstenberg. (Which is why meeting her this year was such a big deal to me!!) Like Chanel, she understands a woman’s expectation for clothing.

Question 4 : Who is your current STYLE crush?
MP: Olivia Pommier @oliviafabuleuse is bae!!!!! Her style is SO simple, but SO chic!!!

Question 5: How do you pick the ensembles you display?
MP: My outfit posts are usually always outfits I am wearing to a particular event. So they aren’t just what I would wear…they’re what I actually wore!

Question 6 : What are some of your favorite boutiques to get your fashionable pieces?
MP: In Columbia, I love the Blake and Coplons. In Charleston, I love Hampden Clothing. But I get a ton of things from Revolve and Neimans!
