Not only does it seem like bae Yasiin Bey (the artist formerly known as Mos Def) has completely abandoned the idea of retiring from the industry, but now the legendary lyricist is reuniting with fellow Brooklyn MC Talib Kweli for a 3 nights of Kweli’s 10-show tour this Halloween weekend in California.
The duo, who perform together as Black Star, are following up another reunion of sorts from over the summer, when they were both guests on Dave Chappelle’s Radio City Music Hall run. The Black Star performances come ahead of Kweli’s forthcoming album, Radio Silence, due November 17th.

This webseries hits very close to home with its makeup and breakup scenarios we all know too well. I literally watched it twice in the same week.
On the outside looking in, Brooke (Nicolette Ellis) and Blake(Omar Salmon). appear to be the epitome of #BlackLove until Brooke decides to ditch their two-year relationship for good for her old boyfriend from back on the day.
Being the catch that he is , it doesnt take Blake long to fall for someone new and move on. Once word gets back to Brooke of Blake’s new love interest from her homegirl, she decides to resurface and tries to get her man back. Putting Blake all in his feeling of who to be with.

After watching the second episode, I was convinced that Makeup and Breakup is a amazing web series that I would love to see on Nexflix or Hulu. Dickens has created a masterpiece for the culture. For years people have slept on suspenders but I lowkey love them. Plus I’d like to think I have a a great eye for fashion.
These high waisted suspenders trend is growing relentless these days, and actually quite practical for Vegas ( now its getting cooler). Covering the oh-so-alluring ankle while flaring provides a fresh look for Fall and Winter. It also means covering not cute but comfortable shoes, which has its pro and cons. So many of my friends and followers along with myself are choosing to wear suspenders this season.
