NBA star LeBron James will star in the ‘Space Jam’ sequel produced by Ryan Coogler and directed by Terence Nance.
Rumors of LeBron James starring in Space Jam 2 have been out there for some time, but yesterday it became official!
The NBA star and his SpringHill Entertainment production company confirmed he is officially a part of the Toon Squad by posting this photo via social media
Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) will produce the Space Jam sequel and Terence Nance (“Random Acts Of Flyness“) will direct the film, which is set to begin production in the 2019 NBA off-season.
LeBron shared how much this project means to him:
The Space Jam collaboration is so much more than just me and the Looney Tunes getting together and doing this movie.
It’s so much bigger. I’d just love for kids to understand how empowered they can feel and how empowered they can be if they don’t just give up on their dreams. And I think Ryan did that for a lot of people.
Im so hype , this gonna be DOPE!
