Woman in Labor Walks in College Graduation to Receive Diploma Then Heads to Hospital

Anshonarial Greenhouse was determined to walk across the stage and receive her college diploma — in labor and all.

The 31-year-old pregnant student from Marksville, Louisiana, — who had begun having contractions at 25 weeks and received medicine to stop her early contractions — walked across the stage during Louisiana State University of Alexandria’s fall commencement ceremony on Dec. 13, as reported by The LaFayette Daily Advertiser.

With a little help from the school’s baseball coach, Greenhouse received her bachelor’s in business administration, with a concentration in accounting. What made the ceremony even more of a can’t-miss-moment was the fact that her mother, Elaine Young, was also graduating that day in accounting.

“I knew it was a possibility I couldn’t walk (at graduation), but I really pushed to be able to go,” Greenhouse told the outlet. “In accounting, there are only like 10 students. I wanted to be there with them.”

Though she was determined to receive her diploma and take part in the commencement with her classmates, she was far from comfortable during the ceremony.

“It was rough walking across that stage,” said Greenhouse, who warned the LSUA staff and on-site Acadian Ambulance beforehand.

Dressed in her cap and gown, the mother-to-be headed to the nearby hospital right after crossing the stage.

On Saturday, Greenhouse, who is also mom to 10-year-old daughter Makhia, gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Zaire.

Cardi B Turned Down Chance To Perform At The Super Bowl in Support of Colin Kaepernick

Cardi B is taking a stand for SOMETHING and using her platform for a great purpose.

In a statement shared with Page Six, Cardi’s team said that she wouldn’t perform alongside Travis Scott and Maroon 5 during the next Super Bowl halftime show because of how the league is doing Colin Kaepernick.

“The rumor circulating that she wants a million dollars and she wants her own set is false. There was never a firm offer to begin with for a performance,” the statement reads. “There [were] talks about it, but she was not particularly interested in participating because of how she feels about Colin Kaepernick and the whole movement.”

The statement went on to say that Cardi has prior engagements on the weekend of the Super Bowl.

“Again, there was never a solid offer for her to say yes or no to regarding the Super Bowl,” Cardi’s reps wrote. “She is already confirmed to do a set with Bruno Mars that weekend.

Naomi Campbell took to social media to “Bare It All”

Naomi Campbell is one of the world’s top models and is rarely caught without a full glam squad.

However, on Sunday the icon, 48, posted a photo on Instagram that revealed a rare look at her behind-the-scenes beauty. “Bare it all,” Campbell captioned a wig-free selfie.

Known for her hip-grazing shiny straight hair, Campbell showed off her natural hair in braids and did not wear makeup in the picture. Fans immediately flooded the comments with compliments. “Queen @naomi, I’ve never been prouder of you. Thanks for sharing this stunning realness!” one person wrote.

“Set it free,” another said.

Last week, Campbell was announced as the new face of cosmetics company Nars. The campaign is her first as the spokesmodel for a beauty company; she has previously implied that there was a racial barrier to the industry.

Trina Braxton’s Ex-Husband Gabe Solis Dead at 43

Trina Braxton’s ex-husband, Gabe Solis, has passed away after a quiet battle with cancer.

Sources tell us Solis died Thursday in Texas, where he hails from, and we’re told he was surrounded by friends and family. 

Trina and Gabe wed in 2003 but divorced in 2015, and their on-again, off-again relationship was a frequent topic on the family’s reality show — “Braxton Family Values” — even after they divorced.

The former couple also appeared on an episode of “Iyanla: Fix My Life” earlier this year — more than 2 years after their split — to hash out their issues and work on a plan to finally move on.

In the episode, Gabe confronted Trina about her verbal abuse and bullying and let her know how it affected him during their marriage. Despite their rocky road … the 2 remained close friends.

We’re told Gabe’s health issues were kept under wraps and his passing comes as a surprise to many close to the family.

The Millennium Tour , which will hit the U.S. in March of next year and mark the first time the group has performed together in more than a decade

Omarion, Raz B, Boog (formerly J-Boog) and Fizz (formerly Lil’ Fizz) have managed to put their problems aside (for now) to secure a bag and they’re bringing along some of yall faves.

Mario, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Pretty Ricky and Chingy are all set to join them on this tour.

Michelle Obama made an appearance at Barclays Center on Wednesday night for the final stop of her book tour, where she was interviewed by Sarah Jessica Parker in a high-end outfit worthy of Carrie Bradshaw herself.

The “Becoming” author, 54, went all out with her designer duds, wearing a vibrant yellow silk wrap dress from Balenciaga’s spring 2019 collection paired with equally eye-catching shoes — the brand’s $3,900 gold sequined thigh-high boots. She also accessorized with $550 Jennifer Fisher gold ‘Baby Jamma’ hoops.

During the event, the former First Lady explained that during her time in the White House, “I did know that my clothes were making a statement, I knew that was the case. So we decided why don’t we use this platform to uplift some young new designers who normally wouldn’t get this kind of attention, because you can change their lives, which is one of the reasons why we chose Jason Wu for my inaugural gown.”
