Nipsey Hussle DEAD AT 33 …After Being Shot in LA

Nipsey Hussle has been pronounced dead after being shot outside his clothing store in Los Angeles.

Two other men are said to be in serious condition.

No further information was immediately available about the shooting at Marathon Clothing on Slauson Avenue in South Los Angeles.

But just a couple of hours before the shooting, Hussle, 33, whose real name was Ermias Ashgedom, had tweeted, “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”

5:12 PM PT — Nipsey Hussle has died. He was 33 years old. 

4:32 PM PT — Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … 3 people were shot at Nipsey’s store, and one of those people just died at the hospital. It’s unclear if that person is Nipsey. We’re being told that one man fled in a vehicle after the shooting.

Nipsey Hussle was reportedly shot in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.

Multiple sources tell us the rapper was gunned down Sunday in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, south of the Crenshaw area.

We’re told he was at his clothing store called the Marathon Clothing Company. He opened the place back in 2007 His condition is unknown at this point. Eyewitnesses in the area say they heard multiple shots fired.

Even crazier … Nipsey appears to have tweeted right before the shooting, and alluded to “enemies.” He wrote, “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”

Im shocked and sadden! I hope he’s okay!

Monica Files for Divorce From Husband Shannon Brown

Monica Brown has left her husband, former NBA player Shannon Brown.

The singer has filed for divorce.

The singer filed the paperwork earlier this month in Atlanta. Monica and Shannon have a 5-year-old daughter named Laiyah together, and she has 2 sons from a previous relationship with rapper Rocko.

So far there are no details on whether she’s seeking child or spousal support … but we’ve learned Monica was unsuccessful in sealing the divorce docs.

The couple wed in 2010, but there was speculation they were separated in October 2018 … until she shared a loving photo of the 2 together on Instagram. She hasn’t been wearing her ring in Instagram photos for a few weeks though.

Monica famously claimed that Shannon — best known for his time with the Lakers — performed better on the court after he had sex with her … especially when he played for the Phoenix Suns.

I didnt see this coming.

Matthew A. Cherry’s ‘Hair Love’ Picked Up by Sony Animation

BlacKkKlansman Executive Producer Matthew A. Cherry is teaming with Sony Pictures Animation to bless us with, “Hair Love” an animated short film.

Cherry a Chicago native and former NFL wide receiver took to Twitter to make the big announcement:

Hair Love raised $300,000 on Kickstarter, the most any short film, animated or not, has ever achieved on the funding platform.

In addition to hitting the big screen, Hair Love will be available in book form in May. According to Penguin Random House, Hair Love is an ode to loving your natural hair — and a celebration of daddies and daughters everywhere.

The description reads, Zuri’s hair has a mind of its own. It kinks, coils, and curls every which way. Zuri knows it’s beautiful. When Daddy steps in to style it for an extra special occasion, he has a lot to learn. But he LOVES his Zuri, and he’ll do anything to make her — and her hair — happy.

Im so overjoyed for this, representation is imperative, little kinky, coily, and curly haired girls seeing themselves on screen and in books allows them to feel accepted and to dream. Dream BIG!

Jussie Smollett Charges DROPPED

Prosecutors have dropped ALL charges against Jussie Smollett with that his record will being wiped clean.

Jussie has agreed forfeit his $10,000 bond.

“After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollett’s volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case,” the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office stated in an email.

Sources say Superintendent Eddie Johnson is “furious” and that he received no notification about the charges being dropped.

Jussie’s attorney released a statement.

“Today, all criminal charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped and his record has been wiped clean of the filing of this tragic complaint against him. Jussie was attacked by two people he was unable to identify on January 29th. He was a victim who was vilified and made to appear as a perpetrator as a result of false and inappropriate remarks made to the public causing an inappropriate rush to judgement,” spokeswoman Anne Kavanaugh stated in an email.

“Jussie and many others were hurt by these unfair and unwarranted actions. This entire situation is a reminder that there should never be an attempt to prove a case in the court of public opinion. That is wrong. It is a reminder that a victim, in this case Jussie, deserves dignity and respect. Dismissal of charges against the victim in this case was the only just result.

“Jussie is relieved to have this situation behind him and is very much looking forward to getting back to focusing on his family, friends and career.”

Charlamagne Tha God On Old Mentor Wendy Williams ‘The Real Rehab She Needs Is From Kevin’

Wendy Williams’ is currently residing in a sober house, her husband Kevin’s mistress reportedly just gave birth last week, and now Wendy’s former friend amd coworker Charlamagne tha God is letting us in on why their friendship ended.

Charlamagne told Page Six “The real rehab she needs is from Kevin Hunter.”

Famed New York “Breakfast Club” host Charlamagne Tha God — who was a mentee of Williams and a former pal of her husband — tells Page Six that his friendship with Hunter and Williams, who married in 1997, blew up over Sharina.

Charlamagne got his big break as Williams’ radio sidekick. The DJ and TV star — who began working with Williams on a radio show on 107.5 WBLS around 2006 — told us that he and Hudson (with whom he was not romantically involved) were longtime pals in their hometown of Columbia, South Carolina, and he had introduced Hunter to the woman at a party around that time.

When Charlamagne moved to New York for work with Williams, Hudson came too and they both moved into a condo — rent-free — owned by Williams and Hunter in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

It is believed at the time Hunter was paying for Hudson to go to school in the city to get a massage license, but Charlamagne believes Hunter was either hoping to start or had started an affair with her at the time.

Charlamagne claims that Hunter was unusually possessive over Hudson and furious with him for introducing her to other men. “Mind you, Kevin was married to Wendy at the time,” he said.“The reason Kevin Hunter and I fell out, and the reason why I don’t communicate with Wendy anymore is because of Sharina,” Charlamagne told us, describing an incident in 2009. “Kevin got upset because he thought Sharina liked one of my homeboys and he thought that I was hooking Sharina up [with other men].”

As Charlamagne and Williams continued to work together on their radio show, Hunter — Williams’ manager and a producer of her show — became more difficult, he claims. When she landed her syndicated daytime talk show in 2008, Charlamagne filmed street skits and interviews for Williams.

But he claims Hunter became even more controlling, and started to push him out. Hunter eventually fired Charlamagne, telling him never to contact Williams again, allegedly saying, “You are dead to us.”

After that incident, Charlamagne said, “Kevin has literally gone out of his way to try to stop my livelihood, to cut my head off and stop me from other jobs. He has done it a couple of times. Kevin has definitely got a couple of cease and desist letters from my attorney.”

He added that Williams — whom friends have described as being totally under the control of her husband, who manages all of her affairs — hasn’t spoken to him since, and even denied knowing who he was during an interview with Elvis Duran.
