Michelle Obama made an appearance at Barclays Center on Wednesday night for the final stop of her book tour, where she was interviewed by Sarah Jessica Parker in a high-end outfit worthy of Carrie Bradshaw herself.

The “Becoming” author, 54, went all out with her designer duds, wearing a vibrant yellow silk wrap dress from Balenciaga’s spring 2019 collection paired with equally eye-catching shoes — the brand’s $3,900 gold sequined thigh-high boots. She also accessorized with $550 Jennifer Fisher gold ‘Baby Jamma’ hoops.

During the event, the former First Lady explained that during her time in the White House, “I did know that my clothes were making a statement, I knew that was the case. So we decided why don’t we use this platform to uplift some young new designers who normally wouldn’t get this kind of attention, because you can change their lives, which is one of the reasons why we chose Jason Wu for my inaugural gown.”

And if Obama’s past wardrobe choices are any indication, these disco-ready boots will be totally sold out in no time flat.

Thirty-five customers have reviewed the aptly named “Royal Debut Gown” on Fashion Nova’s site since July, with some saying they even wore it to their own weddings.

“Very flattering. Stretchy thick fabric so it’s not see thru. Beautiful little train on the back. Wore as my second dress at my wedding and everyone screamed as I walked back in the room!” one satisfied customer wrote. Another said their bridesmaids wore it down the aisle.

For those looking for a more high-end option, Stella McCartney is also selling versions of the now-infamous design. However, the British designer is producing just 46 replicas of Markle’s gown (23 in white, 23 in black). Those seeking to purchase will have to get an exclusive invite from McCartney herself — and each will cost £3,500, or about $4,656.

At that price, the Fashion Nova version is looking better than ever.

Tracee Ellis Ross Opted To Wear Only Black Designers At The 2018 American Music Awards

Tracee Ellis Ross did it us at the 2018 American Music Awards.

The last night’s host wore all Black designers throughout the show.

First, she walked the red carpet in a pink suit by Pyer Moss accessorized with a Jacob & Co. choker, heels by Christian Louboutin and earrings by Mattia Cielo and Djula Jewelry.

For her opening dance number, the second-time AMA host changed into a custom cape by Dapper Dan for Gucci over a black sequined Nicolas Jebran bodysuit, swapping out the skintight number for a glittering gold sequined CD Greene gown.

Ross later changed into something a little more political with an “I am a voter” T-shirt created by her stylist Karla Welch in collaboration with When We All Vote. She paired the top with a cherry-red Shanel Campbell skirt and Aminah Jillil shoes.

After a quick change into a glamorous pink tulle gown by Off-White and Louboutin heels, Ross managed to one-up even herself in a Sergio Hudson leopard-print catsuit, gloves, and beret, plus Casadei pumps and huge rhinestoned Gucci sunglasses.

She then went for something equally statement-making in a boldly printed LAVIEbyCK fishtail gown with dramatic bell sleeves, followed by a double-breasted black sequined dress.

The actress’ penultimate look featured a belted blue DÈSHON gown paired with shoulder-dusting crystal earrings by the same brand — one of which, in a quirky touch, was worn as a brooch — and finally, Ross wrapped up the show in a red Cushnie off-the-shoulder jumpsuit.
