Pharrell Williams has designed a capsule collection for Chanel, which will debut on March 29.

After serving Chanel in almost every way possible, Pharrell Williams has been tapped by the French fashion house to design a capsule collection.

The 45-year-old musician’s line will include both ready-to-wear and accessories, according to WWD, and is set to debut on March 29, 2019 in Seoul, South Korea.

And while no photos have been released of Williams’ forthcoming designs, the “Happy” singer donned a bright yellow sweatshirt with Chanel logos during the brand’s recent event in Bangkok, Thailand, which could be a sneak peek.

Williams and Chanel go way back: The prolific producer has appeared in campaigns, composed a song for an original film by Karl Lagerfeld for its Paris-Salzburg show and collaborated with Adidas on a Chanel installation at Colette in Paris last year.  He even walked the runway at Chanel’s 2017 Metier d’Arts show.

And this is far from Williams’ first foray into fashion design. He has his own brand, Billionaire Boys Club, and has worked with designers including Louis Vuitton, Comme des Garçons, Bape, Nike and many more.

Naomi Campbell Will Be Honored with 2018 CFDA Fashion Icon Award

Naomi Campbell has been a fashion icon for decades, but in 2018 she’ll officially be recognized by the Council of Fashion Designers of America

via Complex:

On Thursday, the Council of Fashion Designers of America announced Campbell would receive the highly coveted Fashion Icon Award at the June 4 CFDA Awards in Brooklyn. The legendary model expressed her gratitude for the honor, as well as all the support she’s received from the American fashion industry.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by the CFDA with this year’s Fashion Icon Award,” she said in a statement to the CFDA. “Being from London, my personal style has always been tremendously influenced by both the dynamic, ever-changing nature of street culture and the music scene. I grew up in this industry and I’m forever grateful to the iconic American fashion designers who have supported me and celebrated me throughout my career.”

Nearly a decade after she made her first “public appearance” in Bob Marley’s 1978 “Is This Love” music video, Campbell landed a contract with Synchro Model Agency at the age of 15. She would go onto become one of the most recognizable faces in the industry, appearing on runways for Chanel, Versace, Valentino, and Victoria’s Secret. She was also the first black model to appear on the covers of Vogue Russia and France as well as Time magazine.

“From enfant prodige to Goddess of Fashion,” CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg said. “Naomi represents beauty, activism and joie de vivre.”

Previous Fashion Icon Award recipients include Rihanna, Pharrell, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga.

Naomi should’ve been honored with this distinction YEARS ago , wayyyt before any of the above named just to be real. She’s been SLAYIN sh*t FOREVA

This Fashion Brand Was Googled More Than The World’s Top Designers In 2017

Im sure you can’t scroll through Instagram without seeing dozens of your favorite celebrities and fashionista wearing an outfit from Fashion Nova, or seeing an ad from the very affordable fashion brand. And apparently their constant presence on your Instagram feed has translated into mega-success for the women’s clothing line!

Google recently released its Year In Search 2017 data and highlighted the top ten most Google-searched brands in 2017. While Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Supreme topped the list, Fashion Nova was the fourth most searched fashion brand in the United States. And quite frankly, they were the only affordable label that made the list and beat out other luxury designers like Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.

So how did this dope, low-priced fashion brand like Fashion Nova make the list? It’s most likely due to the star power of some of its biggest fans. Celebrities like Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Toya Wright have all promoted the brand on their own Instagram feeds. Majority of everything on the site priced at under $100, who wouldn’t be tempted to shop.
