Why Did Erykah Badu Gets Pulled Over By The Police?!

Erykah Badu recently had an awkward encounter with the boys in blue, but not because she did anything wrong.

The singer took to Instagram with a video recorded while she was pulled over by police in Dallas, Texas.

According to Erykah, the only reason she got pulled over was so the officer could say hello.

“OK, it’s New Year’s Eve. I just got pulled over,” she said in the video.

“And why are you pulling me over?” she asked two cops, at which point one of the officers bends down with a giant smile.

“Because I wanted to say hi!” he said.

This Fashion Brand Was Googled More Than The World’s Top Designers In 2017

Im sure you can’t scroll through Instagram without seeing dozens of your favorite celebrities and fashionista wearing an outfit from Fashion Nova, or seeing an ad from the very affordable fashion brand. And apparently their constant presence on your Instagram feed has translated into mega-success for the women’s clothing line!

Google recently released its Year In Search 2017 data and highlighted the top ten most Google-searched brands in 2017. While Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Supreme topped the list, Fashion Nova was the fourth most searched fashion brand in the United States. And quite frankly, they were the only affordable label that made the list and beat out other luxury designers like Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.

SLAY-bells are ringing.🎅🏾🎄 Dress: @fashionnova

So how did this dope, low-priced fashion brand like Fashion Nova make the list? It’s most likely due to the star power of some of its biggest fans. Celebrities like Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Toya Wright have all promoted the brand on their own Instagram feeds. Majority of everything on the site priced at under $100, who wouldn’t be tempted to shop.

ColourPop is headed to Sephora

Colourpop Is moving on up?!

Have you heard the news? ColourPop is headed to Sephora!

The line is partnering with Sephora to launch an exclusive line in November. Keep an eye out for updates and sneak peeks!

What do you think it is, any guesses?

I was curious to know how this line will coincide with their existing products i.e. formulation, price, etc.

But from their latest Instagram live they stated “Prices are staying the same, formula staying the same, still manufacturing everything in their factory in California.”

Question 1: So when’s the first time you fell in love with FASHION?

OCC: I honestly fell in love with fashion when I was about 4 years old. I saw Diana Ross perform in Central Park in New York on TV and her amazing style captivated me. Ever since then it’s been about sequin, color, glitter and just being unique.

Question 2: Do you have a signature STYLE?

OCC: My signature style would be anything sequin, but for the most part I am a Jumpsuit kind of gal.

Question 3: Who is your favorite DESIGNER?

OCC: I never was one to base style from brands or designers, however I love the details and classiness that CoCo Chanel possessed, and I really like Stell Jean

Question 4: Who is your current STYLE crush?

OCC: It’s a tie between Tracee Ellis Ross and Solange

Question 5: How do you pick the ensembles you display?

OCC: By ensembles are based on how I feel. Once I complete my hair and makeup in the morning, I can instantly vision what I want to wear.

Question 6: What are some of your favorite boutiques to get your fashionable pieces?

OCC: Lately I have been purchasing from AngelsVintageBoutique. She is a vintage resale boutique that sales on IG and through her website http://www.angelsvintageboutique.net I also shop local Houston Vintage Boutiques such as Leopard Lounge, Eado Vintage, and the Cottage Shop.
