“Empire” stars Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollett are the new faces of MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam campaign.
Jussie excitedly announced the news via Instagram writing:

MAC cosmetics is launching a new Future Forward campaign, which is being described as “the first of an ongoing series of collaborations and campaigns that spotlight newer talent who are making waves within the music industry.”
For its debut , the brand selected artists Tinashe, Dej Loaf, Lion Babe’s Jillian Hervey and Halsey — all of whom landed on the Billboard charts for the first time in 2015 — to create their own products and represent the brand.
“It feels like a great thing to be able to support artists who are breaking through but aren’t necessarily at the top top, to push them forward,” Senior Vice President and Group Creative Director James Gager says of the initiative. “We’ve always done that sort of thing with fashion designers, and to me, it’s most interesting to introduce these artists, as well as our M·A·C fans, to new people.”
The products are a reflection of their differences.

The rollout will start with Tinashe, who worked on the “Times Nine Palette” of eye shadow ($32; maccosmetics.com), which borrows names for each shade from track names like “All Hands On Deck.” “I was really intrigued by the chance to bring my creative vision to this,” says the R&B artist who is about to embark on a world tour for her forthcoming sophomore album, Joyride. “I got to design the packaging, pick out the colors and create something that I felt like I would use.”
For Detroit rapper Dej Loaf, whose rosy-nude lipglass ($15) will hit stores on April 14, the opportunity is described as an invaluable one — the first of what she hopes will be many more lucrative collaborations. “Music was just a stepping stone for me, I want to get into other things outside of music . . . creative things. This first step [with M·A·C] is a big first step,” she tells Billboard.
Perhaps the edgiest of the capsule, is a gunmetal matte lipstick ($17) by Halsey, whose blue hair, rebellious spirit and 2015 debut full-length Badlands saw her sell out Madison Square Garden (the show will happen on August 13) and collaborate with Justin Bieber.
The campaign will wrap on April 28 with a gorgeous metallic gold Liquidlast Liner ($21) by Hervey, who along with music partner Lucas Goodman is set release Lion Babe’s debut full-length Begin this year, which reportedly involved work with an all-star team that includes Pharrell Williams, Jeff Bhasker and Andrew Wyatt.

I think it’s safe to say that a general consensus among the ladies that love to play in they face, is that we all need to dead ridiculous makeup trends for the new year (all things Kylie). Some actually hate the whole highlight and contour but me personally i love it…..i mean who wouldn’t want a slimmer looking face.
I love a good highlight and contour. Keyword: good. The main reason for using the highlight and contour method is to emphasize your favorite features. The art of using this method to sculpt, refine, and slim your face is like magic.
However, many of us have abused its power of bringing out our beauty. And when a highlight and contour goes wrong, it’s really horrible . Yes, you know exactly what I’m talking about: harsh, unblended dark lines, too light highlight that looks ashy. Basically, the greatness of this makeup method can quickly take a stage left as a fail.
For the New Year, i want to equip you with the tools of having your highlight and contour method down to a science, so you won’t fall victim to this sometimes deplorable makeup trend.
Im not a make up pro , so below are the ladies that help me out so much. Im still learning but these 3 ladies have helped me so much , i feel much better at my contour and highlight because off these beat tutorials . Take a look ✌✌✌

I see so many people often imitate others. Everything from altering their physical features to copying their every move. I often wonder what is the issue. Is it for attention or popularity? The answer is yes and only because there is a lack of self esteem and or self confidence. See, if an person doesn’t feel that they are pretty enough, good enough or have enough going for themselves, then they will adopt the identity of another person with the hopes of being recognized as one who looks, acts or sound like another that’s not them. All of which sounds so draining. I mean think about it, the price of being popular nowadays isn’t cheap. Plastic surgery is ranging in the $$$$. Hair and makeup that use be inexpensive are now rising like stocks, the price of clothes and accessories $$$.The physical upkeep is expensive not to mention the other luxuries like houses, cars and etc.
You’ll go broke trying to maintain a lifestyle that isn’t yours, it’s probably difficult maintaining the one you have now for yourself. Then you find yourself in debt all because of it. You might look good to you and people around you on the outside but the way you feel on the inside is nowhere near that. We love to compare ourselves to other people instead of being us. What’s wrong with being you? Is it the feeling of being rejected because of it. Rejection is apart of life and some of the most popular people has, is and will be rejected by people. Regardless of who you choose to be, there are people that are not going to like you but choose to not be liked because of who you are not someone you pretend to be. Do some searching within yourself to find out what is the issue.
If it’s anything physical, like weight, change your diet. Eliminate some foods and add healthier ones, watch your intake on how much you eat and exercise. You can accomplish it if you discipline yourself and work at it. If it’s any other physical feature, there are plenty of ways to do something about them without the cost of plastic surgery.
Besides, the way God created you was so satisfying to Him that He only made one like you!! And no one will ever be able to be you except for you and you will never be anybody else, no matter how hard you try. Sometimes how we view ourselves has given people permission to view us the same way, whether good or bad and you really can’t control how they view you but you can help them out. Deal with issues within so that the freedom from it radiates on the outside. Free yourself from your own negative opinions of yourself and what others may think. Make the decision to be the original that you were created to be. So go ahead and be free to love you, embrace you, strengthen you and be the best you that you can. Be you so much that it encourages others to be themselves. Be that match that sparks the fire in someone else’s life. After all what choice do you really have in being yourself, everyone else is taken!!!
